Thick 1:1 epoxy for the jobs where resin needs to stay put. This is the bonding and coating side of our epoxy line: a high-build, no-sag formula that grabs vertical surfaces, fills gaps, and glues hardware without running down the transom. Equal parts resin and hardener by volume. No pumps, no ratio charts, no math.

Not a laminating resin. This epoxy is far too thick to wet out cloth, and we will not pretend otherwise. For fiberglass, carbon fiber, or Kevlar layup, use our Thin Epoxy Resin Kit. That split is the whole point of the pair: Thin soaks in, Thick stays put.

What it does well

Bonding and gluing: hardware, wood, core material, fiberglass to fiberglass, scuffed metal. Straight from the cup it bridges gaps that would starve a thin adhesive joint. For structural fillets, mix in milled fibers or Cabosil and it holds a peanut-butter peak on a vertical seam. As a coating it builds real film thickness in one pass with no sag, which makes it the right call for sealing transom cutouts, coating bilge stringers, and armoring high-wear spots.

Working times

Pot life runs 30 to 35 minutes at 80°F, sets in 3 to 4 hours, and dries hard in 12 to 14 hours. One speed, one ratio. Mix equal parts by volume until the color is uniform, then put it where you want it. It will still be there when you come back.

Fairing note

For fairing large areas, start with the Thin kit and our Fairing Compound blend instead. A thin resin carries more lightweight filler, and the filler is what makes a fairing mix sand easily.

Which epoxy do I need?

  • Thin soaks in: wets out fiberglass, carbon, and Kevlar for laminating and repairs.
  • Thick stays put: 1:1 bonding, fillets, and high-build coats on vertical surfaces.
  • Table Top flows flat: self-leveling, crystal-clear pours on bars, tables, and counters.
