Building the stack above the laminate

A vacuum bag is a stack and this is the top of it. Nylon bagging film is the outer envelope: it stretches into a corner without tearing and holds vacuum against sealant tape. Perforated release film goes directly over the laminate so the bag and breather come off clean, with holes that let a controlled amount of resin bleed into the breather.

Order more film than the part measures. You need enough to pleat into every inside corner, because a bag pulled tight across a corner bridges and the laminate underneath never sees pressure. Film is cut in 1, 3 and 10 yard lengths. The aluminum vacuum bag connector is the through-bag port for the vacuum line.
