Two tubings, two different jobs
Vacuum bagging plumbing. Spiral tubing and plain tubing in 1/2 inch OD by 3/8 inch ID, cut to the foot or bought as a 25 or 100 foot roll, and an aluminum vacuum bag connector that passes through the film.
Spiral tubing goes inside the bag as the runner, so the film cannot collapse onto it and choke the line off the part. Plain tubing runs from the connector out to the pump, where it only has to hold vacuum. Both are the same 1/2 by 3/8 size the connector barb takes, which keeps the whole run one diameter with no adapters and one less place to leak.
