Vacuum Bagging Kit Large - 5 Yards Film, Peel Ply, Breather + Release Film

The same consumables as the small kit at panel scale, plus the two things you start wanting once parts get bigger: perforated release film to bleed resin, and flash tape to hold film and pleats in place while you seal a long bag single-handed.

What is in the kit

• 5 yards of 110" nylon bagging film
• 5 yards of 60" peel ply release fabric
• 5 yards of 60" 4 oz breather cloth
• 2 yards of 60" perforated release film
• Two 25 ft rolls of sealant tape and one 1" x 72 yd roll of polyester flash tape

How a bag actually works

1. Peel ply goes straight onto the wet laminate. It releases cleanly and leaves a textured surface you can bond or paint over without sanding.
2. Breather cloth goes over the peel ply. It is what lets vacuum reach every part of the bag instead of just the area near the port, and it soaks up the resin you squeeze out.
3. Bagging film goes over everything and is sealed to the mold with sealant tape. Leave slack; a bag pulled tight bridges corners and that is where parts go dry.
4. Pull vacuum, walk the bag down into every corner by hand, then hunt leaks before the resin kicks.

Add perforated release film between peel ply and breather when you want to bleed more resin out for a higher fibre fraction. Leave it out when you want to keep the resin in.

Pleats are not optional at this size. A big bag has to have slack folded in at every corner and along every long edge, taped down with flash tape so it stays put. Bridging is the single most common way a large bagged part comes out dry.
