Carrying vacuum across the bag

Breather is what keeps a bag from only pulling where the port is. The lofted polyester holds an open path from every corner of the part back to the vacuum line, so the whole laminate sees the same pressure, not just the area near the fitting. Both weights come 60 inch wide, cut to 1, 3 and 10 yards.

Weight follows how much resin you expect to bleed. The 4 oz suits light wet layup and infusion where release film limits what comes through. The 7 oz has more loft and soaks up more, which is what a heavy hand layup wants. Run breather under the vacuum fitting, or the bag pulls onto the port and chokes it.
