Bag a wet laminate with three yards each of nylon bagging film, polyester peel ply and 4 oz breather, plus sealant tape, an aluminum bag connector and 10 ft of hose with fittings and clamps. Designed for room-temperature vacuum bagging of small composite panels and parts.

Pump not included. Check your pump inlet before ordering. A pump-specific adapter, gauge, isolation/control valve and resin trap are not included.

Plan Your Bag

The supplied film provides 82.5 sq ft of raw material; peel ply and breather each provide 45 sq ft. Finished-part coverage is smaller because the bag needs room for the sealing flange, pleats and part depth. Material ships folded. Check your layout before cutting.

Check Your Pump Connection

The bag connector has a 1/4 in male NPT stem. The two supplied barb fittings are 3/8 in hose barb x 1/4 in female NPT. Match the pump inlet size, thread and gender before assembly. An SAE flare adapter is not included.

How The Layers Work

Peel ply sits against the wet laminate. Breather provides an air path to the connector and can absorb resin. Where required by your process, place perforated release film between peel ply and breather to control resin bleed. It is sold separately. Seal the outer bagging film with slack and pleats so it can contact the part.

Peel ply leaves texture, but follow your resin, adhesive or coating supplier's surface-preparation instructions before bonding or painting. This kit is for wet layup at room temperature, not a complete resin infusion or heated-cure system.

What Is Included In The Starter Kit?

Three yards each of 110 in nylon bagging film, 60 in polyester peel ply and 60 in 4 oz breather; two 25 ft sealant tape rolls; one aluminum through-bag connector; 10 ft of 3/8 in ID hose; two brass 3/8 in barb x 1/4 in female NPT fittings; and two stainless hose clamps. Does This Kit Include A Vacuum Pump?

No. Supply a suitable pump, gauge, control/isolation valve and resin trap for your process, plus resin/hardener, reinforcement and mold release. Check your pump inlet before ordering.

Will It Connect To My Pump?

The bag connector has a 1/4 in male NPT stem. The supplied brass fittings have 3/8 in hose barbs and 1/4 in female NPT threads. Your pump may need a separate adapter. SAE flare and NPT are different connections; an SAE flare adapter is not included.

How Large A Part Can I Bag?

The kit supplies 3 linear yards of each material: 82.5 sq ft of bagging film and 45 sq ft each of peel ply and breather before cutting. These are material areas, not finished-part coverage. Allow extra film for the sealing flange, part depth and pleats, and allow for overlaps and waste.

Is Perforated Release Film Included?

No. Use an appropriate perforated release film between peel ply and breather when your layup process calls for controlled resin bleed. Its hole pattern affects resin flow; it is not the same as peel ply or infusion flow media.

Can I Use This Kit For Resin Infusion?

This kit is configured for wet layup, where reinforcement is wetted before the bag is sealed. Infusion needs a separately planned resin feed, flow media, suitable lines and ports, and a resin trap. It is not a complete infusion setup.

What Vacuum Level Should I Use?

Use the level specified for your resin, reinforcement, core and mold. Excess vacuum can remove too much resin or damage a weak core. Monitor vacuum at the bag and test your process on a small sample.

Do I Need To Sand After Removing Peel Ply?

Peel ply leaves a textured surface, but it does not guarantee a ready-to-bond or ready-to-paint surface. Remove the fabric fully and follow your resin, adhesive or coating supplier's cleaning and abrasion requirements.

Is The Guide Printed Or Digital?

The setup and leak-hunting guide is available as a downloadable PDF, so you can save it on your phone or print it. A printed sheet is not required to use the guide.

Can I Reuse The Materials Or Cure In An Oven?

Clean, undamaged hardware may be reused after inspection. Plan on replacing peel ply, resin-wetted breather and sealant tape for each job. Film is reusable only if clean, intact and leak-tested. This kit is for room-temperature cure, not oven or autoclave processing.
