A 50 pack of birch stir sticks for mixing resin, gelcoat and epoxy, averaging about 12 inches long. They are real birch wood rather than compressed material, and at 50 to a pack you can give every batch a clean stick.
One stick, one batch
A stick that went through the last batch can carry partly cured material into the next one, and a lump of that is the last thing you want in a gelcoat finish. Start each mix with a fresh stick, work the sides and bottom of the cup where unmixed resin hides, and throw it out with the empty cup. At about 12 inches it reaches into a deep cup or can with room left for your hand.
- Pack: 50 sticks

How do I measure and mix resin and hardener accurately?
Use graduated mixing cups to measure resin and hardener or catalyst to the ratio on the label, then stir with a flat stick for at least a minute, scraping the sides and bottom so it blends fully. Epoxy must be measured to its exact ratio and is not forgiving; polyester takes a small percentage of MEKP by volume. Mix only what you can use within the pot life.
