A blue polypropylene stick for hand mixing two-part resin, epoxy and gelcoat, and for folding pigment and filler into the batch. A vertical rib and molded pass-through holes pull material through the stick on every stroke, so hardener, pigment and filler blend in quickly and completely.

Choosing a pack

Try a single stick first, keep the 20 pack on hand for repair work, or take the 100 pack if the shop mixes all day. Polypropylene shrugs off solvent, so scrape it, wipe it down with acetone and it is ready for the next cup.

How do I measure and mix resin and hardener accurately?

Use graduated mixing cups to measure resin and hardener or catalyst to the ratio on the label, then stir with a flat stick for at least a minute, scraping the sides and bottom so it blends fully. Epoxy must be measured to its exact ratio and is not forgiving; polyester takes a small percentage of MEKP by volume. Mix only what you can use within the pot life.
