Quantity

Graduated polypropylene cups for measuring resin, hardener, catalyst and pigment by volume and mixing small batches. The 1 oz size comes 100 to a pack for dosing; the 2, 6.5 and 8 oz sizes come 25 to a pack for mixing.

Choosing a size

Use the smallest cup that holds the batch. A few ounces of epoxy spread thin across the bottom of a big cup leave more of the mix on the wall than in the part. Polypropylene does not bond to cured epoxy, so a used cup can often be flexed clean and put back to work.

How do I measure and mix resin and hardener accurately?

Use graduated mixing cups to measure resin and hardener or catalyst to the ratio on the label, then stir with a flat stick for at least a minute, scraping the sides and bottom so it blends fully. Epoxy must be measured to its exact ratio and is not forgiving; polyester takes a small percentage of MEKP by volume. Mix only what you can use within the pot life.
