Black polyester filament brushes on a solvent-resistant plastic handle, built for polyester resin, vinyl ester, epoxy and gelcoat. The upgrade over a wood-handle chip brush, and the reason is specific: these shed far less into your resin.
A loose bristle laid into a wet laminate is not a cosmetic problem. It is a void that has to be ground out and re-wet, or a hard spot you find later with a sanding block. A brush that holds its bristles is worth more than a brush that costs less.
Why polyester instead of natural bristle
- Holds its bristles — far less shedding into wet resin than natural china bristle
- Solvent resistant handle — the plastic will not soften or swell in styrene or acetone the way a wood handle can
- Stainless ferrule — no rust bloom on a brush left in solvent
- Still disposable — priced to use and bin, not to clean and keep
Two ways to buy
Every size comes as a single brush or as a full manufacturer's box. The per-brush price is shown as the unit price on each option.
- 1" — box of 36
- 2" — box of 24
- 3" — box of 12
For general wet-out where a stray bristle does not matter, our wood-handle natural bristle chip brushes cost less.
