A flat roller bridges an inside corner, which is exactly where most repairs fail. The corner roller is shaped to get down into the angle and press resin into the joint so the tabbing bonds along the whole radius instead of just the two flats.
- Where it goes: stringer and bulkhead tabbing, inside hull-to-deck angles, fillet joints, any sharp interior corner.
- Diameters: 1/4 in and 3/8 in. The smaller one gets into tighter radii.
- Aluminum construction for solvent cleanup and long service in resin.
- Use it after the flat roller. Consolidate the field first, then work the corners before the resin starts to gel.
Air trapped in a corner is invisible until the tabbing lets go. Roll the angle, then look down the joint at a low angle for whitening before you move on.

What rollers do I use to roll out fiberglass?
Use a metal or paddle laminating roller to compact the laminate and drive out trapped air after you wet out the glass, which prevents weak, bubble-filled spots. Reach for a corner roller on inside corners, a radius roller on curves, and a detail roller in tight areas. Wet out first with a chip brush or squeegee, then roll until no more air bubbles rise.
