7oz Breather Cloth

Breather cloth is what keeps the vacuum path open under the bag. Without it the film seals against the laminate, the pump reads vacuum at the port and nothing is actually being pulled through the part. This is the 7 oz heavyweight version, so it holds more resin than a standard 4 oz breather and is the one to grab on thick wet layups or resin-rich processes where a lighter bleeder would saturate and stop breathing.

• Where it goes: over the perforated release film, under the vacuum bag.
• What it does: maintains continuous air paths to the port and absorbs the resin that bleeds through the release film.
• When to step up to 7 oz: heavy laminates, high resin content, or any bag where a 4 oz breather is coming out soaked.
• Width: 60 in, cut from 1 yard up to a full roll.

It is a consumable. Do not try to reuse breather that has gone stiff with cured resin, it will not pull air.
