The twill everybody pictures when they hear carbon fiber: 5.7 oz/yd² of 3K tow in a 2x2 over-under-under pattern, first quality, in 50 in and 60 in widths. Two over two gives the diagonal weave its depth and lets the cloth follow a curve that a plain weave would bridge, which is why it shows up on hoods, cowlings, hardtops and trim panels.
