1708 Fiberglass & Resin Kit - 10 Yards 50" Wide + 5 Gallons Polyester Resin

Ten yards of 1708 biaxial, the workhorse structural fabric of every boatyard, with five full gallons of marine-grade polyester layup resin to wet all of it out. Transoms, stringers, hull sides, and repairs that need real strength, bought once at a project price.

What is in the kit:

• 10 yards x 50" of 1708 biaxial fiberglass, two 5 yard folded packs (17oz +/-45 stitched biaxial with 3/4oz mat backing, about 125 sq ft)
• 5 x 1 Gallon of marine-grade polyester layup resin
• MEKP hardener to catalyze the full five gallons at 1%

Coverage: 1708 is a heavy fabric. At standard hand-layup ratios, 125 sq ft takes roughly 4.7 gallons including normal waste, so five gallons lays up every yard in a single layer. Doing heavy multi-layer buildup? Add resin by the gallon.
