Our 0.75 oz Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat is the perfect choice for lightweight fiberglass applications, offering excellent flexibility and smooth conformability to complex shapes. Made from randomly dispersed glass fibers bonded with a styrene-soluble binder, this mat wets out quickly and creates a strong, even laminate.

What size chopped strand mat do i need for my project?

Use 0.75oz mat for thin, lightweight layers, 1.5oz for general repairs, 2oz for thicker builds and high-strength structural reinforcement. Read more about choosing chopped strand mat size

Is there a volume discount?

Yes, there is volume discounts at many levels with full rolls having the lowest per yard price.

How much resin will I need?

Fiberglass mat typically requires about 1.5 to 2 times its weight in resin to fully saturate.

For example: 1 lb of mat will need approximately 1.5 to 2 lbs of resin.

Keep in mind, most resins weigh around 9.5 lbs per gallon.
