TR 104 High Temp Mold Release

TR-104 is the paste wax you use when the tool gets hot. Standard carnauba mold release softens and transfers at elevated cure temperatures, which is how you end up with wax in the part surface and a mold that will not release cleanly. This one blends high grade carnauba with heat-resistant synthetic additives specifically to hold up under that heat.

• High temperature service. Formulated for tooling running elevated cure temperatures where standard wax breaks down.
• Carnauba paste wax. Rewax after each of the first 2 or 3 parts on a fresh mold, then see how many pulls you get between coats.
• High gloss surface finish with reduced buildup in the tool.
• Works with epoxy, polyester and gelcoat tooling.
• Wipe on, let haze, buff off. Build several coats on a new mold.

It pairs with PVA when the tool is new or the part is a one-off. Wax first, then PVA over it; PVA on a bare unwaxed mold is not a substitute for building the wax film underneath.
