Sierra 18-8149 Volvo Penta Fuel Water Separator Filter

A replacement fuel water separating filter for Volvo Penta sterndrives. 10 micron media catches water and debris before they reach the injectors, and this is the high capacity version used on side by side fuel pump installations.

Fill the new filter with clean fuel before you spin it on if the installation allows it. Cranking a dry filter full of air is how you end up chasing a hard start you just created. Drain and inspect what comes out of the old filter. Water in the bowl means you have a tank or a fill cap problem to chase, not just a filter to change on schedule.
