Sierra 18-7915-1 Oil Filter Replaces 0778885

The spin-on oil filter for Johnson, Evinrude and Suzuki four stroke outboards in the 25 to 70 HP range, on a 3/4-16 thread. It is built for the marine environment rather than adapted to it: epoxy coated heavy-wall steel canister, anti-drain-back valve, and media rated to meet or exceed OE filtration.

• Thread: 3/4 in x 16.
• Anti-drain-back valve so the filter stays full between starts and the engine is not spinning dry after layup.
• Epoxy coated heavy-wall steel canister for corrosion resistance under the cowl.
• Interchanges with Johnson/Evinrude 778885 and 5031411, Suzuki 16510-87J00, Mallory 9-57817 and Fram PH7575.
• Direct replacement fit, no adapter required.

Wipe a film of clean oil on the gasket and hand tighten. Also have a bag ready: on most outboards this filter is mounted where it will drain straight down the block when you break it loose.
