Sierra 18-7906-2 Yamaha 69J Oil Filter

The spin-on oil filter for Yamaha and Mercury V-6 four stroke outboards in the 150 to 250 HP range, covering the Yamaha 69J filter application. Three quarter inch by sixteen thread, anti-drain back valve, epoxy coated steel canister.

• Thread: 3/4 in x 16.
• Fits Yamaha F150, F175, F200, F225 and F250 four strokes and the equivalent Mercury applications.
• Anti-drain back valve helps prevent dry starts, which matters on an engine that sits for weeks between runs.

Sierra's service guidance is to change the filter after the first 20 hours of engine operation, then every 50 hours or at least once a year. On a seasonal boat that means the annual change is usually the one that matters, and doing it at layup rather than in spring keeps acid-laden oil out of the engine all winter.
