PVA #10 Mold Release, also known as Partall® #10, is a water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) barrier release agent designed to prevent resin bonding to molds. It forms a thin, green-tinted film that peels away easily after curing, leaving a clean part with no transfer to the mold.
PVA #10 is most effective when used in combination with mold release wax (such as TR-104 or Partall #2) for new or unseasoned molds or in high-gloss plug applications.

PVA is the insurance layer, not the everyday release. Wax alone is what a seasoned production mold runs on; PVA goes over the wax when the mold is new, when the plug or part is a one-off you cannot afford to lose, or when a fresh repair has to release from a surface you do not trust. It leaves a slight film texture on the part, washes off with water and rinses off the mold. Pair it with Partall #2 paste wax; the whole ladder is in mold release agents.
