Green Wedges (High-Performance Medium Flex)

Green medium-flex wedges separate parts from new molds and delicate tooling, where driving in a hard wedge risks damaging the flange or the mold surface. They are softer than rigid wedges, so they give a little as you tap them into the parting line.

Working a release

Work several wedges around the flange instead of forcing one in a single spot, so the part lets go evenly. Open the parting line with the smallest size, 4 in x 1-1/4 in, then widen the gap with the larger wedges. If a part stays locked down, step up to our air injection wedges, which put shop air behind it.
