4oz Breather Cloth

The layer that makes a vacuum bag behave. Breather goes between your release film and the bagging film so air has a path to the port from every corner of the part instead of only where the hose lands, and so excess resin has somewhere to go. At 4 oz it is the general-purpose weight most shops keep on the shelf.

• 4 oz polyester breather and bleeder, 60 in wide
• Maximum use temperature 400 F, so it holds through room-temp and elevated cures
• Carries vacuum evenly across the laminate and prevents bridging at the port
• Absorbs bled resin on wet layups for a higher fiber fraction
• Cut to 1, 3 and 10 yard lengths or take the full roll (100 yards)

Run it over peel ply and perforated release film, then set your through-bag connector on top of the breather so the port never pulls straight down on the part.
