1.5oz Fiberglass Mat Tape

Chopped strand mat, precut to tape widths, so you can tab a bulkhead or glass a chine without slitting a 50 in roll and dealing with the fuzz. Mat tears and forms into an inside corner where a woven tape wants to bridge, which is exactly what you want on a fillet or a seam that changes angle.

• 1.5 oz per square foot chopped strand mat in 4 in, 6 in and 12 in widths
• Tabs bulkheads, glasses seams and chines, fills inside corners
• Plan roughly 1.5 to 2 times the mat weight in resin
• Polyester and vinyl ester only; the binder needs styrene to break down
• Cut to 1, 3, 10 and 25 yards, or take a full roll

For a tab that needs directional strength, run 1708 biaxial tape over the mat instead of stacking mat on mat.
