Surfacing Veil

A thin veil under the gelcoat is what keeps the reinforcement underneath from telegraphing through. At 10 mil it carries almost no structure; its whole job is to hold a resin-rich layer right at the surface so the weave or mat pattern behind it never reads on the finished part.

• 10 mil thickness, 38 in wide
• Prevents print-through on mold surfaces and finished parts
• Held together with a binder that dissolves in polyester resin
• For polyester and vinyl ester systems
• Cut to 1, 3, 10 and 20 yards, or take the full roll (110 yards)

Lay it in against the gelcoat before anything structural goes down, and wet it out gently. Veil is fragile and will tear if you chase it hard with a roller.
