The classic aerosol powered spray gun. Pour up to 6 oz of coating into the graduated glass jar, screw on the power unit, and lay down an atomized professional finish with no compressor, no hoses, and no gun to strip afterward. Small enough for a tackle box, strong enough that Ford put it on a 425,000 van recall line.

The venturi design keeps propellant and product separate: the power unit pulls liquid up the dip tube and atomizes it at the nozzle, so the can never contaminates your coating. One power unit sprays up to 16 oz of liquid; when it runs dry, screw on a fresh replacement power unit and keep spraying from the same jar.

For gelcoat repairs, Preval's own guidance is to thin with up to 15 to 20 percent styrene monomer by volume, then spray your patch and feather it in. It handles lacquers, enamels, latex, varnish, stains, primers, and solvents the same way. Cleanup is spraying a few seconds of the matching thinner through the unit.
