Partall Coverall Film PVA Mold Release

Coverall Film is the sprayable PVA in the Partall line: a water-based polyvinyl alcohol release that lays down a thin sacrificial barrier between the mold surface and the part. Wax alone works on a seasoned production mold, but on a new tool, a difficult shape, or a part you cannot afford to lose, PVA over the wax is the layer that saves you.

• Where it goes: over a waxed mold as the last step before layup.
• What it does: prevents sticking, surface damage and demolding failures, especially on seasoned molds and challenging parts.
• Cleanup: the film washes off the part and the mold with water once the part is released.
• Sizes: quart and gallon.

Spray it in light, even passes and let each one flash before the next. A heavy wet coat sags and the sag prints into the part surface as a ridge you have to sand out, which defeats the point of using PVA on a high-gloss job.
