M08 is the paste wax production shops keep on the shelf because it goes a long way between coats. Buff it onto a seasoned mold and you get multiple part releases from one application, which is the difference between waxing between every pull and waxing between runs.

If the wax has dried to the inside of the can in storage, that is dried wax and not rust. Wipe it out with a cloth and keep going.
