Replacing a hatch is a cutout job, so measure the hole, not the old lid, and decide whether the deck wants a flat base in a recess or a flange base on top. Gas lift springs need the right ball stud and mount angle, a 90 degree narrow and a wide mount are not interchangeable, and seal tape comes in 1/8 and 1/4 inch.
