Partall High-Temp Mold Release Wax

A paste release wax formulated for tooling that gets hot. Ordinary mold wax softens and gives up when the part exotherms or when the cure schedule goes into an oven, which is exactly when a stuck part costs you a mold. This one holds to 350 F.

• Maximum temperature 350 F
• Non-silicone formula, so it will not contaminate surfaces you plan to paint
• Paste wax, buffed on and polished to a gloss
• For composite parts cured at elevated temperature
• Back it up with PVA on new molds and one-off plugs

Build several thin coats and let each one haze before buffing. One heavy coat leaves soft wax that prints into the part surface instead of releasing it. Keep a dedicated applicator cloth for release wax and never let a shop rag that has touched solvent near it. Contaminated wax is worse than no wax.
