Bottomkote NT is a hybrid: it has the wear resistance of a hard coating with a controlled polishing action, so it sheds light growth and smooths out with use instead of building up season after season. That combination is why it works on both power and sail, where a straight ablative would wear through and a straight hard paint would need stripping.

Substrates: fiberglass, wood, and properly primed steel or lead underwater surfaces. Not for aluminum hulls or outdrives.
Coats: at least two full coats, with an extra coat on bare wood and on high-wear areas like leading edges and the waterline.
Fast dry. Under normal conditions you can apply multiple coats and launch the same day, which matters when the yard has you on a schedule.
Over existing bottom paint: check the Interlux antifouling compatibility chart first, then clean and sand as required.
Thinning: only if necessary, with the correct Interlux thinner, and not beyond the label recommendation.

Remove mold release wax and contaminants with the recommended Interlux fiberglass prep products.
Fair any imperfections as needed.
Follow either the no-sand or sanding system detailed in the Interlux datasheet, typically involving a suitable primer or barrier coat followed by multiple coats of Bottomkote NT.
Sand the surface smooth and clean off dust.
Apply an initial thinned coat of Bottomkote NT to help penetration, then follow with additional full coats as directed on the label.
