Style 6781 is the S-2 glass version of 7781: the same 8-harness satin weave, weight and thread count, woven from S-2 fiber for roughly 25 to 30 percent more breaking strength than E-glass at the same weight. 8.9 oz/yd² (302 g/m²), 0.0097" (0.25 mm) thick, 38" wide.

Reach for it when a part has to be as strong as possible without adding plies: high-load skins, race hulls, board rails, aircraft and prototype parts. It drapes like 7781, lays flat into compound curves and wets out clear. Works with epoxy, polyester or vinyl ester; pair it with epoxy to get the most out of the fiber.

Handle it like any satin: move cut pieces flat, and flip every other ply for a balanced laminate, since one face is mostly warp and the other mostly fill. Same weave for less money: Style 7781 E-glass in 50" width.
