Your Wholesale Pro account
Your account is approved and your pricing is live. This page covers how that pricing reads at checkout, the two cases that work differently, and how to place your first order. Bookmark it.
The short version
Your Wholesale Pro account is a real B2B account on this same site, not a coupon code. Log in, add material to the cart, and your account price is already there. Pricing is volume tiered: the per unit price drops as the quantity on a line goes up. Two short carve-outs (hazmat and MAP) run on fixed pricing instead of the ladder. That is the whole model.
How the volume ladder works
Your base discount is 15% off retail on any quantity. From there the per unit price steps down as you put more of a single item on one line:

The break is per line item, not per order total. Ten gallons of one resin hits the 10 unit break; one gallon each of ten different products does not. Stock the items you go through and the unit price rewards it.
Worked example
Take our 2LB density urethane foam, 4LB kit (SKU FOAM-0204), retail $39.95:

Same product, same account. The only thing that moved the unit price is how many you put on the line. That is the ladder working.
The two carve-outs
Two groups of products run on fixed account pricing and do not step down with quantity. Stated once so there are no surprises in the cart.
Hazmat: flat 10% off. Polyester and vinyl ester resin, MEKP, gelcoat, styrene based products, and PVA mold release hold at a fixed 10% off your retail price at every quantity. As an example, our USC 635 thin epoxy with slow hardener (retail $27.69) is $24.92 on your account whether you buy one or fifty. Dropship freight and DOT handling on flammables and corrosives do not scale the way a dry good does, so these hold at one account price. The 10% is what lets us put wholesale pricing on hazmat at all.
MAP protected: ships at retail. A short list of products is governed by a minimum advertised price agreement with the manufacturer. We are not permitted to sell those below the listed price, even on a Pro account. That floor applies to every retailer in the channel, not just to us. Your account discount keeps applying to everything else in the cart.
Everything outside those two groups runs on the volume ladder above.
Placing your first order
- Log in at boatsuppliers.com with the email your account was set up under. You are logged in as your company, not as a personal shopper.
- Shop the site the way you normally would. Product pages and your cart show your account pricing once you are logged in. If you still see retail, you are not logged in, or you are on a different account: sign out and back in with your business email.
- Build the cart. Watch a line cross a volume break and the unit price update. To hit a better break, bump the quantity on that line.
- Check out. Pay by card or ACH. Your account pricing is already in the totals, so what you see is what you pay. No code to enter.
- Ship to your business address on file. To ship somewhere else on a given order, set the shipping address at checkout.
Payment and terms
Pro accounts are card and ACH at launch. Net terms (invoice billing) are on the roadmap and open up as the program grows; we will reach out when that is available. Your account pricing applies the same way either way: you see the full discount at checkout instead of waiting for it on an invoice.
If you sent a resale certificate and we verified it, your account is set tax exempt and tax drops off your orders automatically. If we do not have a valid certificate on file, tax is charged until we do. To send one, email it to hello@boatsuppliers.com.
Adding people to the account
At launch each account runs under a single main contact, usually the buyer or shop manager. Inviting additional team members onto the same account is a feature we are adding next. For now, put the buyer on the account and forward order confirmations to anyone else on your end who needs them.
Moving up to Elite
Pro is where every account starts. We run a second pricing level, Elite, with deeper discounts and breaks that reach further down the quantity ladder. Elite is not something you sign up for: once your account clears our top trailing year volume threshold, we move you up on the next quarterly review and email you the new pricing. We watch the number for you. Keep ordering through your account and it takes care of itself.
