KEVLAR®

Kevlar is the aramid fabric you reach for when the laminate has to take abuse: canoe and kayak hulls that get dragged over rock, rub strakes, keel bands, sprint hulls and any panel that sees impact rather than pure bending load. It is tougher and lighter than glass, it does not shatter on impact, and it stays in one piece where carbon would crack.

This collection carries Kevlar 49 cloth in the three industry styles that cover most marine work, Kevlar tape for seams, chines and rub strips, cut pieces for small repairs, and carbon and Kevlar hybrid fabrics that pair carbon stiffness with aramid toughness in one ply. All of it wets out with epoxy or vinyl ester. Cut it with a dedicated aramid shear; ordinary scissors will not get through it cleanly.
