Controlling the flow front

Flow media lets resin travel across a part faster than it can travel through the laminate. The green medium speed mesh comes 42 in wide, the red fast flow comes 60 in wide, both in 1, 3 and 10 yard cuts. Fast media on a large flat panel gets resin to the edges before it gels. Medium media keeps the front from racing past the reinforcement.

Media goes above the peel ply, not against the laminate, so it strips off with the peel ply and stays out of the part. Keep it back from the vacuum line or resin runs straight to the trap. On a part with thickness changes, run media over the thick sections only.
