Vinyl Ester Patch Repair Kit - Quart Resin with MEKP, 1708 & Mat Pieces

The below-waterline patch kit. Vinyl ester is the resin you want on hull work: better water and chemical resistance than general purpose polyester, which is why it is the standard choice for blister repair and anything that stays wet. The kit packs the resin, the catalyst and the glass already cut, so you are not buying a full roll for one patch.

• 1 quart of marine grade vinyl ester resin with MEKP catalyst
• Precut 1708 biaxial and 1.5 oz chopped strand mat pieces
• Mixing cups, stir sticks and gloves included
• Covers roughly 3 sq ft of two-layer repair, with resin left for a fillet or seal coat

Grind the damage back to sound laminate with a taper of about 12 to 1 before you lay anything in. For a transom or a larger structural job, step up to a kit with yardage instead of precut pieces.
