Starbrite Engine Fogging Oil - 12oz Aerosol

Fogging oil is the cheapest insurance in a winterization. An engine that sits all winter with bare cylinder walls picks up surface rust from condensation, and that rust becomes a scored bore the first time it turns over in spring. This sprays a heavy duty polymer coating over the internal surfaces so the metal is not sitting exposed for five months.

Fog it with the engine running and shut it down while you are still spraying, so the last thing in the cylinders is oil rather than air. Expect a cloud of smoke on the first start in spring; that is the coating burning off and it is normal.
