Interlux Fiberglass Surface Prep

New gelcoat is covered in mold release and wax, and paint will find every trace of it. Surface Prep is the dewaxing step that comes first: it lifts mold release agent and wax off bare fiberglass so a primer can actually key to the surface instead of sitting on a slick film.

• Removes mold release agent and wax from bare fiberglass
• Used with Interlux Fiberglass No Sand Primer, which removes the need to sand bare fiberglass
• Cleans gelcoat and provides a key for the primer
• Sizes: quart, gallon and case of 2 gallons

Use two rags: a wet one to dissolve the contamination and a dry one following right behind to lift it off. Wiping with one rag just moves the wax around the hull.
