A narrow strip is the right shape for a lot of skinning jobs, and paying for a 12 inch width you then cut in half is waste. This is the 6 inch rung: 5 feet of real 2x2 twill, the epoxy to lay it, and the tools.

What is in the kit:

  • 6 in x 5 ft strip of 5.7oz 3K 2x2 twill carbon fiber, taped edges
  • 12 oz two-part epoxy kit (8 oz resin plus 4 oz hardener)
  • 2 graduated mixing cups, 2 chip brushes, 4 stir sticks
  • Nitrile gloves and a step-by-step instruction card

Taped edges, oversize cut: every cut edge is sealed with our blue cut tape so the weave arrives fray-free, and we cut 1 inch beyond the stated size so the advertised measurement is all clean fabric. Trim the taped border during layup and you lose nothing.

Coverage: 2.5 square feet. That skins a pair of mirror caps and a set of door trims, or wraps a long tube. Broader parts like a dash or a hood want the 12 inch or 24 inch kit.

Ships rolled on a tube so it arrives with no creases. Ships UPS or FedEx Ground to the lower 48. The fabric and the epoxy resin are not regulated for transport; the small hardener bottle is a limited quantity corrosive, so the kit travels by ground and cannot go by air.

  • Fabric: 6" x 5 ft strip of 5.7 oz 3K 2x2 twill carbon fiber, taped edges, cut 1 inch oversize
  • Resin: 12 oz epoxy kit, 8 oz resin plus 4 oz hardener, UV stabilised, high gloss
  • Working time: 30 to 40 minutes at room temperature, full cure 24 to 48 hours
  • Also in the box: 2 graduated mixing cups, 2 chip brushes, 4 stir sticks, gloves, instruction card with QR walkthrough
  • Coverage: 2.5 square feet, sized for long narrow parts rather than broad panels
  • Uses: mirror caps, door trim strips, spoiler blades, handlebar and tube wraps, rod blanks
  • Ships rolled on a tube, never folded. Non-hazmat
