Choosing a burst rating
The number on the jug is a burst rating, not a freeze point, and people mix the two up every fall. A -50 product will slush well above that number and still keep the plumbing from splitting. A -100 or -200 rating buys margin on a block that never fully drained. Engine antifreeze and potable water system antifreeze are different products, so keep the RV water system jug out of the engine.
